The glass that has been heated up and strengthened is roughly twice as strong as glass that has been annealed and that has the same thickness and shape. When fractured, heat-strengthened glass typically stays in the opening and fractures similar to annealed glass. It is designed to be used for general glazing where more durability and/or resistance to thermal and/or mechanical stress are desired. The heat-Strengthened glass should not be used in places that call for safety glazing because it is not a safety glazing product.
We are one of the biggest heat strengthened glass manufacturers, and dealers and have in-house manufacturing of heat strengthened glass in our factory.
